The computer you are looking at is probably a little better than the computer you are using at the moment.  It's modern with the i3 CPU, Windows 7, 4 gigs of RAM, and a Terra byte of storage.  The graphics, however, are not really modern........the nVidia 9200 is about a 3 year old card.  And in the performance level for that card in it's hay day it's second from the lowest (you can probably pick up that card on eBay for around $25 USD (that would be a brand new, in the original package card to boot).  The fancy touch screen (which is most likely what most of the cost for the computer is tied to) is going to be more or less useless for SL.........and without the option of a wired keyboard and mouse (at least none that I could find on the specs) you are locking yourself into some very specific limitations right from the get go.  All I saw was a price per month so I don't know how much the computer is going to cost you when you finally get it paid for but I know you can get more machine than that..........Acer is bargain stuff and the overall quality very much reflects that bargain.  The old saying "you get what you pay for" doesn't even apply......you'll be getting much less than what you paid for.

Keep looking around for something better.  If you are going with nVidia, don't settle for anything less than a GTS 250 (less than $100 USD brand new).

the i3 processor is not really suited for SL.  You need an i5 or better running at 3Ghz or faster for good performance.  And while the latest viewers can take advantage of two cores for speedup, half of the quad core won't be used for anything.

Ram at 4G makes me think this is running a 32 bit version of windows, meaning you cannot expand that memory if that's the case.  If it's not 64bit OS, look elsewhere.

The graphics card is borderline.  Yes it will work.  No you won't get all the bells and whistles.

Synopsis: you will have buyer's remorse in under a day.  Keep searching, and consider limiting your search to units which have Nvidia graphics cards in them.  My experience with ATI in SL has been so excrementally bad that I've sworn them off entirely.  You want a CPU that's at least an i5 at 3Ghz or better, 4G or more ram with expansion possible, a 64bit OS, and a GT260m or better GPU.  I personally find desktops to be cheaper, easier to upgrade, and faster than laptops.  SL needs sheer computing power, which means heat and battery consumption.

Oh nice that you opened a thread like this one. Maybe we can use this thread for that kind of question.

Personally now I use a desktop Athlon xp+ 1800 Gforce 6200 256Mb and 768 Mb. Due at no SSE2 I can't run in new viewer 2 update but I think about changing my desktop by a laptop

I hesitate to buy this one Asus. I am not sure SL will be able to run on it. But it's in my price range.
