Twix Toxx Posted August 9, 2011 Share Posted August 9, 2011 I am looking for a person who can script animals in Second Life. Need the basic breeding, eating..and all that. Also need the animal to move..and for people to pick them up. Need the nest script and all that. Now I know theres full perm scripts for these but they need to be retouched a lot and made into the breedables own and also more intense stuff. So I'll need a scripter for that who knows how to work them and set them up. I'll need sounds too for these to be scripted. I'm looking for serious scripters who would like to be in this with me for long term. This will be a very good move for you..trust me. I am more likely to respond in world then on the website. Chelsea Malibu Posted August 9, 2011 Share Posted August 9, 2011 Not sure how much you have done this and don' t mean to sound like you don't however, I hope you are aware that with breedables, the script is only 1/2 the story. The primary systems are database systems that are on hosted servers and not in SL. As such you are asking for a programmer to build you your business. "This will be a very good move for you..trust me" may not be the incentive a professional developer would be looking for. My suggestions is to NOT hire some random anonymous scripter from SL and hire a RL database programmer that knows how to design game systems and the algorithms that go along with it. Dev Khaos Posted August 9, 2011 Share Posted August 9, 2011 As noted, this is something that would need to be done by a professional [to be done correctly - physics, animations, interactions, trait tracking, lifespan/hunger progression, etc] with experience in gaming algo and database/web design. I'm perhaps one of the more available programmers for the job and i've developed scalable web apps for several social sites like takecopy.com for secondlife and redditups.com for reddit. Due to the extent of a breedables project (which ive done a lot of coding for) the cost of development would be several thousand USD (2-3) and require hosting for the db. I'm sure smaller scale development is possible [timers and events], but i dont do anything small. I'm open for high end development work, yet i'm holding out for more serious inqueries.
