Question

ielI've downloaded  SL and everytime I tried to log in, it always said "waiting for region handshake" and then the viewer unable to connect with SL.

If I though it was because of my firewall setting, then I don't know how to set the firewall. The step SL Help gives didn't help. It said I have to allow some ports at the setting, but when i opened the Outbound option at firewall setting, so many rules on the list that I didn't know which one should I set!

I use laptop acer i3 with updated graphics card. OS Windows7. Help?

------edit

@Ansariel: on my software firewall (KIS), the SL is fine with Low Restriction...

If I have slow connection, will it cause the viewer unable/refuse to connect to SL?

The Windows firewall has never been an issue with SL. It's more the firewall in your modem/router causing it. You should refer to the documentation of your modem/router on how to change firewall settings. Also, you should check these articles about firewall settings for SL: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_configure_my_software_firewall_%28such_as_Norton_Internet_Security,_McAfee_Personal_Firewall,_or_ZoneAlarm%29 and http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Configuring_your_firewall
