All of a sudden I can't get SL to load. When I click the icon nothing happens. What's going on?

Suddenly lost the ability to get SL to load.  Tried resetting the modum and even redownloaded the game and the viewer.  Nothing works and it's been three days now.  Could someone steer me in the right direction?

You don`t say what viewer you are using, did you just update one?

If so try going back to the previous update & see if that fixes you.

If you want to go back to a previous version of V2 and you don't still have it on your hard drive, look in http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Release_Notes .  I suggest deleting the current version completely before installing a new one, instead of installing on top of it.  Also, when you start up the replacement, go to Preferences >> Setup and UNcheck the option to Automatically Download Updates so that it doesn't happen again.

I'm having a problem similar to that.  SL was working yesterday.  I think it automatically updated.  Anyway, when I tried to access it today, it said, "Graphics Initialization Failed.  Please update your graphics driver."  So I uninstalled the viewer and installed the older one.  Neither of them work.  The older one seems like it's going to start, but then it says, "Detecting hardware.  Clearing cache.  Shutting down." 

So now I can't open SL at all and talk to my friends. :matte-motes-crying:

I had the same problem. Seems things are ok now. Took 4 days. I tried everything.
