does it tell you it is locked or anything and that you are not authorized...otherwise I just suppose the server/SIM performance which causes the script to not work properly...just click "edit" on the door prim and it will move.

You cannot modify the scripts of your Linden home. You must click on the control panel which is inside it and choose "open in my browser". There you can unlock your door, as you can modify the colors of the walls, the floor, etc.

I am having the same issue with my Linden home, the door should open for me regardless of being locked or not but it does open in either state. Hitting edit makes no difference, i tried that. I guess its time to go through the tediuos process of submitting a ticket that will take so long to get responded to that the problem will probably have fixed itself

As I mentioned in my reply to djfix here, you only can lock/unlock from the panel control which opens the Linden home controls web page. Linden homes are NO MODIFY. Clicking edit doesnt do anything.

Go to the control panel. It can oppen your browser where you can adjust your Linden home settings.

Hi, I found that if the home is 42 prims the door opens and closes with 43 prims the door does not open and not close

It might be a bug as other residents are currently complaining about the same door lock issue. File a ticket to supprt here (choose "land' as problem description):
