I had over a thousand lindens and they disappeared when I tried to purchase an item for $50 lindens.

I had over 1,000 lindens and they just disappeared and now it says -1 is my balance. How do I get the lindens I rightfully paid for back?

Sounds like your viewer missed the update fromthe asset server.  Chances are if you relog, your lindens will be there.  If not, check your Dashboard-Account-Transaction Log for where they might have gone.

Hi Vanessa, sometimes the inworld balance does not accurately display what you have. You can click on the L$ symbol or the buy L$ button (without buying anything, just hit cancel) to try and refresh your display balance.

Your most accurate account balance will be on your account page, and you can also track where your lindens have gone if indeed they have been taken.

Second Life > Account > Transaction History > Date Range.
