returned items from land and not in inventory

It is always best to collect your items individually instead of doing an object return from the about land menu.  The said, your objects will have be consolidated into a coalesced object.  And very likely to not have a name that makes it easy to find.  Normally to go into the Lost and Found folder but not always.  Once you find the coalesced object, your next challenge will be to find a place to rezz the combined objects.  Usually a large public sandbox works.  More on coalesced objects in the linked article below.
