Is there a way to save skin to pc hard drive?

I am just wondering if there is a way to save skin, shape and other inventory items to your personal pc hard drive.

No, because all your inventory stuff is stocked on LL servers, not on your computer.

All your inventory is already saved to your HD in your cache, but all in code format.

Only if you have the original skin textures in your inventory and if they are full mod.

If you are wanting to save to your hard drive as a safetry procaution against loss, then the best you can do (besides keeping copies in different directories) is to pack them in a NEWLY created prim and keep them on your land or somewhere else you have control over.

 

You can -- if your shape is mod -- write down all the parameters of the shape on a notecard, but that is a LOT of work. Easier to just put copies in various places. You cannot download your purchased skins because that could easily lead to fraud and reselling, the same with clothes and other content created by others. Only full perm items can be saved to your hard drive and I am not sure if that is still legal these days. Used to be.
