duLuna Bosatsu
Im not sure where to ask for help, so I thought I'd throw it out here. I havent been active in SL for a couple months, so this weekend I was fooling around when I noticed my sky settings are BLARING WHITE. Or just on perma glow... something. I'm using Phoenix. attached is a before and after (relatively before... its an old viewer and an old screenshot. But that's what I remember the sky/water setting looking like- actually being visible.) I have tried lowering the sun's focus and size but it doesnt appear to change anything. Ideas? Blot Brickworks
Try playing around with your windlight settings.
Marianne Little
I think that Phoenix remember the Windlight setting you had when you logged out. And you may have accepted a windlight setting customized for a special sim, and then it's the default sky until you change it. This is how I remember it, I have used Viewer 2 and Firestorm beta for app. 6 months. Try to go to sky settings and set it to Default?
Vladi Hazelnut
well in the bottom picture it looks like you are on the ground and its sunset. In the other picture it looks like you are at a fairly high altitude and its mid day. The time and the altitude will effect the sky. To make an accurate comparision both pictures would have to be in the same location at the same day cycle setting.
duLuna Bosatsu
Thanks everyone for your suggestions! It turned out to be the "Atomist" water setting that was making it so reflective! Didnt think to check that ;D
Ishtara Rothschild
If you want to quickly switch to a standard Windlight setting, press Ctrl + Shift + Y.
