Lods on avie rigged mesh - how it works?

What is the value of your renderVolumeLODFactor ?
And what is the camera's focal length ?

I am not sure if the LOD for avatars is calculated the same way as for other objects.

Just as a sidenote, a mesh object and a sculpty of same size (same shape even) switch their LOD at different distances from the camera (this is expected behaviour, see CTS-673 )

Maybe something similar happens for Avatars too...
