Please stick to one thread & not start a new one for the same issue, it gets confusing, also why did you mark the other one as resolved if it isn`t? lol :D

You can update http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/windows-is-crashing-when-i-long-into-second-life-i-get-the-blue/qaq-p/1007351 by using options > edit or add comments by clicking the permalink on replies.

when people open multiple threads about the same issue it's common to ask them to keep to one thread. this makes it easier for everyone wanting to help, having all the information available at one spot, avoiding people answering in one place unknowing about other info in a different thread. common forum etiquette. and possible help can be given faster. a win-win, really :matte-motes-nerdy:

when a poster marks a reply as "accepted solution" this means the issue has been resolved.

Accepted Solutions are automatically nominated for possible inclusion in the Knowledge Base after Linden editorial review. Residents who authored the Accepted Solutions will be noted as contributors!
http://community.secondlife.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/qa#qa_accept

so a better way would be to try the suggestions and then come back with updated info.

i see your second thread is also marked as resolved. i hope it is :matte-motes-smile:

nothing in your knowledge base helps fix this, nothing the one person suggest helped. so if someone wouldnt actually mind reading this and giving me a posible clue as to why sl is crashing windows 7 i'd appreciate it. if you don't know why or there isnt a real tech around that knows why............then please just say you dont have a clue!

The reply given previously by Rolig, did sum up the issue. As she explained Norton & SL are known to have problems with each other occasionally. I would suggest disabling Norton to test if SL is fine without it & that will confrim what you already suspect, that Norton has changed something that your SL does not like.

If you do confirm that it is Norton, your options are:

To double-check that nothing about SL has been disallowed/blocked by your antivirus or firewall.

Test with other viewers to see if they have the same problem.

Do a system restore back to when it worked ok & reinstall the update - Maybe it got a bad install first time.

If all SL viewers are affected the same way & they work with your system prior to the Norton update, but break as soon you reinstal the update. There is not much to suggest other than contacting Norton or using a different security system.
