Question

...or some help in ruling out one or another?

I am having major problems with freezing up & crashing (average twice per hour session), but how do I know if it's my connection (wireless) or my drivers (Nvidia) or the viewer (Firestorm) or just SL screwing up and glitching?

TIA for any input/ideas...I'm frustrated :(

ETA:  Thanks to all who answered...I've been inworld most of the day today, haven't changed anything, and am no longer having a problem it seems.  Must be the server or the grid itself that had problems :(

The best comparison to find out if it is viewer related is to test on LL Viewer 2. Often people try to compare Firestorm to Phoenix, which isn`t really a good test as one is v1 and the other v2.

I would also try switching off HTTP textures in Prefs > Graphics > Rendering & if you have full res textures switched on, definately switch that one off.

If you had a previous version of Firestorm installed and did not do a clean isntall, that is very important, so try that too http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_clean_reinstall
