To Merchants,

I am Priscilla Sim from HELP University College. You are invited to participate in thesis study “Consumer Behavior of Store Layout, Atmospheric and Theatrics in Second Life”. This study will BENEFIT you in many ways:

1)      Knowing your customer’s opinion and satisfaction level towards your store layout, atmospherics, events and/or promotion

2)   Receive L500 as token of appreciation (T&C apply)

Please allow me to:

1)      Give a short survey to your in-store customers and group members (if there’s any)

Each customer will receive L10 as a token of appreciation (not for group members)

You do not necessary need to reveal any discreet information regarding how much earnings you have made. However, I would appreciate if you would provide data on how your business is doing. Your store’s name and your name will be fully protected, any specific descriptions regarding unique characteristics which can be traced back to the store or owner will not be mentioned in this study and I will generalize as much as possible.

If you wish to further participate in this study, after receiving feedback survey data from customers, you can receive L5000 to renovate your store layout. However, a percentage of customer traffic and sales need to be provided (not in amount or number), and your privacy will be FULLY protected, which including name, location etc.

If you have any questions, please ask me in Second Life or Skype “priscilla_leen”. Questions or complaints regarding the rights of research subjects may be directed to Mr. Ravi Varmman, Thesis Supervisor, +60177777306 or ravivk@help.edu.my
