Viewer 2 update

I have downloaded viewer 2 update as prompted , I tried to log into the program.but I cannot open the program. I only see a small white box listing "Second Life error log"  and " numorous data" and one in particular states "you screen appears to be frozen".  The box then dissapears and gives me no option and I cannot log  into Second Life via the latest version  of viewer 2,   I also cannot use an older verson because that has been restricted, not allowing the use of an older version. Restricted?  By whom?  You can certainly uninstall the version of V2 that you have now and then download any pervious version from http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Release_Notes or download one of the excellent third party viewers (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory) like Firestorm >>> http://www.phoenixviewer.com/ .

ETA:  Please note that if you install an earlier version of V2, you should go into Preferences and UNcheck the option to download new versions automatically.

LadySunfire ...   I had the same predicament for weeks and looking for ways to play SL. Followed all instructions from the

Technical Support Advisors, read "Logging Problem" in SL Support, Uninstall and re-install again, cleared Catche, and other stuff with no avail. For my last attemp before I give up SL, I download the Beta Viewer and it work for me. I was in new vewer2

and experiencing the same problem. If you are in new version V2, try to swicth to Beta you'll find it there in download page.Do not click "download", click "Beta" and you'll be automaticaly get it and Icon on the browser. I just done this yesterday, the 27th,

july2011 and immediately played my favorite place"Jessee " Combat stuff. Now, the thing is the "my profile" bar. It's new to me

and I have to find how to show profile,looks empty.
