V2 update 2.8 problem with profile pics.

Well I noticed that as I went to update my profile, I can now only use pics from my PC and not the ones in my inventory.

However when I try to save a pic to my PC, its a .tga setup, which isnt accepted in the selection for uploading a pic for my profile.

 

Anyone care to help me out on this?

Your pics must be saved as PNG or JPG files to your hard drive to be accepted for upload in SL.

If you want to use existing snapshots you will need to export as a tga file and then change the file format using a graphics program (there are quite a few free ones out there that can do this if you don't have one).

 

If you are taking new photos and do not have a graphics program you have a couple of choices. You can make a custom size snapshot and send it to yourself by email. It will be a jpg. You can also make a custom size snapshot and save to your computer. It will be a png file. Since I really HATE the web profiles  I won't be doing much with mine *wink* but I believe both of those file types should be supported.

The web format appears to be square so a 256 x 256 snapshot should work well. Hopefully anyway. Good luck.
