Hiyas all. First i apologise if this question has been answered, i did use the search function before posting.

I have recieved a few notices saying: "Request for special powers failed. This request has been logged".

Now, this happens whilst i am typing, either in IL, or local. I have a new keyboard, and can only assume that i am entering some key chain combination. This is certainly not deliberate. Although i am a relatively new "resident", i have been in sl for some years before ( as jjonn warwillow, deceased ), and up until now have never encountered this issue.

What i need to know is, do i need to be worried about this, and, how do i go about disabling this function?

Many thanks in advance for any help, and as i say, i apologise if this has been made clear before.

This message will pop up if you are trying to access the 'Admin' functions in an area where you are not supposed to have access.  For example,  if you want to know what radio stream is playing in a shop, you can go to Advanced and toward the bottom there is an option to select the Admin menu (in Phoenix).  If the owner does not want you to have the Admin powers, you will see that message.  On my computer, the key combo is CTL-Alt-V

No, there's no need to be concerned about it. The logging really only pertains to Lindens (who are the only accounts with the abilities to actually use the Admin commands) so that they have an audit trail of activity. It's a way to ensure the Lindens are accountable for their actions since they can change item permissions, set land sale prices, boot avatars from sims, etc.

Everyone who's ever enabled the Admin menu (including me) has gotten these messages while playing around and nothing's ever come of it.
