Land and Credit Card Charges.

If you look at the bottom of your Account Summary on your dashboard, it tells you your tier date. You need to sell or abandon your land before that date in order to avoid being charged for an additional months tier fees.

For example, if your tier date is the 20th of the month and you sell all your land & remove all your contributions from any groups before the 20th, then you will be charged your normal fee on the 20th and that will be the last one. If you sold everything on the 21st, you would be charged again for the next month.

To remove land contributions to groups, go to the land page in the Group info and delete the number shown as your contribution.

You can change your membership plan at any time and revert to a Basic account (dashboard > account > membership plan) and you can abandon your Linden home too (if this is what you are talking about). Please note that even if you abandon a land before its due term, you will not be refunded, either by LL or by a private owner.
