Monthly Maintenance fee

Do I have to pay Monthly Maintenance if I only need the developed property for one month? Im going to buy the space to have an educational activity going on just for a month, from the first days of August till the firsts days of September.

If you are planning to buy a sim for just one month then I would suggest that you contact LL and ask about renting one instead, because that will be MUCH cheaper for you.

Find a land where you can pay weekly so you don't pay for more than you need. And, if you have the Lindens to rent the land, your don't have to go Premium, unless you want extented support (customer support, live chat, etc). You certainly can go Premium adding payment info (credit card) choosing a monthly membership plan and revert to Basic when your work is finished.

Dashboard > account > membership plan. Monthly plan cost is 11.90 US$.

Check with educators at NCI ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/NCI%20Dream%20Seeker/128/126/1003 ) or ISTE ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/ISTE%20Island/130/126/25 ) in world.  Both places have teaching facilities and their members are accustomed to running classes in SL.  You might also ask folks on the SLED list if anyone has class space available for a short-term rental.  The nearly 6,000 educators in SLED often help each other out in that way.  If you aren't already a member of that list, see https://lists.secondlife.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/educators .
