Why doesn't Second Life start after I change it from Basic to Advanced?

The crash logger error usually pops up if your personal settings have somehow been scrambled.  LL's advice is generally to find and remove your personal settings folder (See here >>> http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User_settings ) and then try logging in again.  Your viewer will discover that the settings folder is missing and will create new default settings that should fix everything. If that doesn't work, you may have to uninstall your viewer completely and then download and install it again.  Check first to be sure that your notebook meets LL's recommended standards, if you have not done that already >>> https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/index.php?lang=en-US
