Jennifer Boyle
This morning I was trying to refine a Windows batch file I use to launch the LL Viewer 2.8 from a flash drive. I tried to use the Login command line switch. The program failed to launch and gave an error message saying Login was an unknown option and referring me to http:/wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Client_parameters, where the command line switches, including Login, are listed. According to this page, my syntax was correct. I tried it with a Windows shortcut and got the same error. The reason I want to use this is so entry of login credentials can be handled by the batch file. If it does not know what account will be logging in, all of the files in C:\Users\Username\Appdata\Roaming\SecondLife have to be copied from the flash drive to the hard drive.Does anyone know of a workaround? Is this likely to be fixed in the future?
