Everything I see is solid black, except my skin! Help!

I just installed Second Life 2.7.5 (235722) Jul 14 2011 12:48:21 (Second Life Release), and I log into the game fine. My inventory loads.  But my surrounds are solid black. Everything. Everywhere. Even my hair and clothing. The only thing I see in full color is my skin and eyes.  It is the oddest thing!  I've tried teleporting around and other sims are the same bleak darkness. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

ok, I tried rebooting my computer to no avail.  Also further testing appears that I can put on clothing that is non-prim based and the texture is coming in. So it seems that everything prim based is not showing textures.  I'm really at a loss as to how to fix this, so any and all ideas are appreciated.

Hello, there are indeed a lot of probs atm, I think you can unclick basic shaders to fix your issue. Its like under the graphics preferences.
