Top Searched & Top Selling Reports:

Some time back, I completely redesigned my Marketplace store.  New name, new products, new everything.  In my Top Searched and Top Selling Reports, all of the old old products that are no longer in my store's inventory (and haven't been for some time), still show up.  Does anybody know if there's a way to remove these old items from the reports?  It's just a pain having to scroll through page after page to see all my current products.

they may just expire over time, i thought my deleted marketplace enhancements would never go away either from that report page... but finally they did. what i'd really like to see reported is a "top earning" page.

its a very different statistic than top selling. "top selling" alone can be kind of irrelevent info depending on your price spread :matte-motes-grin:

I would counter that, if your 800 item is only selling once a week, but your 50 L item is selling every other hour...I would look into making more 50L items, if my tiem and effort equaled within the price gains.

Yeh you are correct, probably often this stat works great for people!

....but my situation is more similar to (example only), I'll see an 800L item sells once a week, and a 50L item sell twice a day. Seems like that 50L item is hot and like OMG I should really reduce my price on the other item, but upon closer inspection, I see the 50L item only earned 700L in the same time :matte-motes-delicious:

Hence how that stat can give you a very deceptive slanted view in certain cases (perhaps mine is just uncommon fringe case), for me without a lot of calculations off to the side (which sort of negates the whole point of the stat), the "top selling" stat is meaningless.

Anyway, there is obvious no solution to exclude those orphaned and/or duplicated items?

Silly as it seems, the developers/programmers keep track by item_Name instead of item_ID!

Wish I could advise but Top Search has never worked for me from the day they introduced the Marketplace it just times out after about 15 minutes each time I try to use it. Top selling does work about 50% of the time but I could almost cook a three course dinner in the time it takes to load.
