Disable "Take Copy" option in Pie Chart?

Greetings,

This might be a newby question, but here is is anyway.

I've created a build and want to be able to sell it. Now i've set all permisson the way i want them (next owner can copy, mod, no trans). However, when the object is rightclicked, it is still possible to take a copy through the piechart menu. Ive tested this with an ALT-avatar and he is also able to take a copy without paying. I've also tried to take the original into inventory and rezz a copy. This still allows it to be copied from the piechart menu.

What am i missing?

There's an "Allow anyone to copy" option, you may have accidentally set that, look here for a screenshot:

well you will always get that option in the menu because you own the object. And if your alt or others have your edit rights they will also get that option in their pie menu. What you need to check is if someone without your edit right can take a copy. If that is the case something is messed up.

to be more clear, since you created the object and still own it you have full permissions, so you can take a copy, next owner permissions only kick in when the owner changes... if you are unsure, simply create a testing account and give a copy to them to be sure the correct permissions are set when they receive the item.

i don't think the viewer supported by Linden Lab has pie menues anymore, does it?  Maybe I missed that memo.

I don't know about the SL viewer but Firestorm has the option of using the pie select. I use it.

Not only does Firestorm have the beloved pie menu, you can customize it with your own attractive color choice. Vive le pie!

OOH! I didn't know that! How do you do it?

Go to Preferences >>> Color >>> Override pie menu background color and opacity . You can make the pie background color anything you like and can adjust opacity and fadeout time with sliders.  Mine is a lovely robin's egg blue.
