How come I can't get onto the game?

Hi,

I'm new and I've downloaded the Second Life viewer and the game and all that but it won't let me play the game. I haven't been on it at all - not once...

Also I am dumb when it comes to computers...

Any answers???

Did you enter 'Paskella' as first name and 'Resident' as last name? Then you can choose to login in advanced mode andenter your password.

valerie, I never got to enter a first or last name, Paskella is my username and the part where it sais resident is saying that im a resident.

OK so what error message do you get? And which viewer are you using?

You didn't mention why you can't get into SL. Any error messages?

BTW: SL is not a game.

you downloaded it ok. did you install it? did that go well? at what point do things fall apart?

add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

SL changed from using first and last names a year or so ago, but there are still a few places where you will find a login that asks for 2 names. So you would use the default last name of Resident.

Frist name: Paskella

Last name: Resident

im having the same problem it says login failed dns could not resolve the host name.

please vervify that you can connect to the secondlife.com 

web site. if you can , but continue to recieve this error

please go to the support section and report this problem
