Planter Leitner Posted July 18, 2011 Share Posted July 18, 2011 I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but it does involve copying built objects. We had a copybotter show up in our sim, and he left some copies around of various objects as part of his work. We've banned him and filed an abuse report. However, he still has six objects in the sim, and we can't find them. I hate the idea of returning the objects, because I might be returning something to him that he copied. And unless he deeded the objects to the land group, I don't see how anyone else could take them. I think the best plan is for the sim owner to contact Concierge live help and ask them to assist. Void Singer Posted July 18, 2011 Share Posted July 18, 2011 if you know the original creator, you chould IM them as well, with the name of the thief, the name the item was copied under and a picture if you can.... this allows the creator to file DMCA which can get all copies of the object removed from the grid. adriannesuz McMinnar Posted July 18, 2011 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Just curious... A basic search on google turned up LOADS of youtube videos on how to copybot illegally and also URLs to get it. Does LL do this easy type of search as well or do they only police things inworld? Because it seems like it would be really easy to locate these thieves by the videos and websites where they make the software available or tell you who to contact inworld to get it.
