Ceres
Join NCI or Caledon University inworld. They usually have classes for Viewer 2 and you can ask questions then. Or go to the Knowledge Base tab and type gesture and see if you can find anything related to Gestures. Wait? Is there a Speech Gesture in Viewer 2?? ETA: Ok I went and search, the closest to recording your own voice is through voice morphing... never done that one yet. Might be a good thing to learn tonight... Smoothie Perl
If your voice is like Jim Carey's yes you can make your own gesture a succesive one I mean, but yes you can make a gesture with your voice. If you combine a voice sound with the appropriate script you can make a greeter..... for example TP in my store and you will hear a great example http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pavonia/161/123/125 P.S. sound duration must be under 10 secs (above that isn't acceptable by the system) and the format must be *.wav

Ceres
Very Clever indeed... Some people wouldn't mind, I'm sure. Especially the David Beckhams of SL... they look all hunky and drool-worthy until they went on voice - pitched nasal voice! Oy... :smileyindifferent:
Medhue Simoni
Ok, basically, a speech gesture is a gesture, usually with animation, that plays when your voice hits a certain volume. There are many different volumes to edit or add to the mix. At the end of creating them, you should have a mix of around 3-6 speech gestures that cover all the volume ranges, and these will play as you talk using voice. So, something similar to a typing overide, but for your voice. It is a tricky mix to create a good set of speech gestures and I would only buy them from some1 that knows what they are doing. I've thought about doing more, but currently, I only have 1 set available, and that is for a special character ao, and you can not buy it separately. Fits the character well tho, and I did like making them. If any1 wants to see more speech gestures, then leave a comment about what types you might want. Personally, my voice won't work on my main pc, so i have to test them on my laptop. If there is a need for them tho, I'd gladly make more. Sound is not something you would generally want to add to a speech gesture, but I guess you can. Might be a bit confusing for you when you talk, having your av yelling something out every time.:matte-motes-oh-rly: Here's some pointers to any1 who might want to make some. The animations you make need to be short, really short. Even 1 second is kind of a long time. You also need to have a decent blend time, or your avatar will snap into place when it triggers. So, this is again, a tricky mix of short animations, and good blend times to have each 1 flow into the other as you talk. I would also not animate the whole avatar, just the upper body.
