I placed an item on the ground on my land, it never rezzed and has yet to return to my inventory?

It sounds like an asset server issue that might be cleared up if the owner of your sim were to restart it.  You might ask.

Spending a lot of L$ on horses and land rental, unfortunately, doesn't make you a Premium member, and Live Chat is only available to Premium and Concierge members.  It's one of the few really decent perks of upgrading.
