Try opening Preferences >> Graphics and clicking the Hardare Options tab (or whatever it's called in your viewer) to open the next screen of information. UNclick the box that says Enable OpenGL Virtual Buffer Objects (VBO).  That option has different effects on different computers.  For you, it may solve the problem or it may make no difference at all.  It can't hurt to try, though.
