Question

Shortly after entering SL, I recieve the message 'Display Driver has stopped responding" then I crash. I've installed and uninstalled a number of SL viewers, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Problems started on July 10. I've checked my graphics card and it's working fine.

Please will some kind soul save me? I work in SL in a university and this is so not good **Only uploaded images may be used in postings**://secondlife.i.lithium.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif" border="0" alt=":smileysad:" title="Smiley Sad" />

Try this driver:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-32bit-275.33-whql-driver.html

Save the driver to your hard drive (the desktop is good).  Don't run from the website.

Before you install that driver, uninstall the old one using your control panel uninstall utility.  Don't worry, you'll be able to see stuff on your monitor........it won't be good but functional.  When you are instructed to restart to complete the uninstallation do it..........but when your computer boots back up don't let Windows search for or install a new driver for the "found new hardware" that will be displayed........that's your video card without a driver.  Navigate to where you saved the driver you downloaded from nVidia and install it.
