Hi Vader, can you provide more information please as well as your computer specifications. You can easily get the specs from the SL login screen > Help > About Second Life window.

To add comments if using IE9, click the Compatibility button (looks like a broken page) beside your browser refresh button then click Options > Edit.

Asus make many notebooks. Anyway, if you're not posting your specs here, check them against Second Life's System Requirements and read the Wiki on lag http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_to_reduce_lag . More references to lag here http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&location=Category%3AAnswers&q=lag

Your netbook is possibly unable to cope with the demands of Second Life and therefore struggling. Run at Low graphics, select a low draw distance, wear as few scripted items as possible, turn off anti-aliasing, check your bandwith and packet loss from the Statistics Bar, try a different viewer.

No netbook on the market is going to run SL worth a flip. Many smart phones are more powerful than the highest performing netbook. They were designed for light web browsing, word processing, email, instant messaging (without video) and very little more. SL is a pretty heavy duty 3D program and many mid level desktops and high end laptop struggle to run it at any setting other than mid graphics. You need a graphics processing unit for 3D invironments.......netbook do not have that and cannot be upgraded to have that capability.

Get a computer that is capable of running the software you want to run......netbooks aren't capable enough for SL. Using a netbook for SL is like taking a golf cart on a freeway.
