You are wearing a modesty skin, designed to keep newbies from being embarrassed by going naked accidentally in public.  (Yes, I know it happens to all of us, but it can be traumatizing if you are only a few days old.)  So, open Inventory, go to your Library >> Clothing folder, and try on other skins until you find one that isn't a modesty skin. Welcome to Second Life.  :smileywink:
