Yes, there are many issues with marketplace items not delivering. Usually though, if you are given the option to keep the item inworld, it means that your item has been delivered. Check your recent inventory, you can back up the date in the filter at the bottom where there is a little white gear icon, show filter, then change the date to like 2 days back.

Look in your objects folder also. 

If you still can't find the item and your marketplace transaction history shows delivered as the status, contact the seller by notecard explaining the situation and ask for a resend. It happens all the time.
