First, let me explain the problem. The default priority is a 3 for turns, which is too high. If you want to overide it, your turn animation needs to be a priority 4. This causes problems if you are holding something, and try to turn.

Today, while working on another AO, it hit me. What if I make the turn animation a priority 4, but not animate the arms at all. So, I did not animate the arms from the shoulder down. This resulted in my turns using the default arm movements, but if I am holding something, then the turn animation does not overide the holding animation.

Just incase any1 has been super frustrated by turns overiding hold animations.

Oh, I would like to point out, that this is just a workaround for holding something and turning. It is not a workaround for weapon strikes. If you use a striking animation and then turn right after, your turn will still overide everything but the arms. So this workaround is extremely limited and can't be used in an ao that is used for fighting.
