0 Rolig Loon
There's actually very little to understand. It's not truly a "game." There is no goal, there are no points to earn, there are no paths to follow or ranks to gain. This is just what it says, a Second Life -- just like your first one except that you can fly and teleport. It's a place to create things or to explore and see what other people have created, a place to meet people, a place to hear live music, a place to shop. It's also a play where you play games, if you want to. There are many role-play sims, and you can participate in individual or team sports. Here's a good place to start learning what you can do in Second Life >>> http://secondlife.com/whatis/?lang=en . Welcome! Bem-vindo!
0 Cio Koba
Yesterday I was at HP5 sim, there were lots of brazilians there, it might be a good place to start. On the search space type HP5, and then teleport to their sim. Good luck with your new life!
0 Netera Landar
Helena, There are many people not only from Brazil, but other countries as well. If anything you will learn English by speaking with others. I'm sure there is even a translator. To begin your journey, I'd recommend joining a music group to learn about the wonderful variety of concerts offered on Second Life. There are also authors giving new book readings. There are clubs that have djs or singers to entertain those that come to the venues. There are stores to purchase clothes, homes, you name it. Beautiful gardens, also. How about a movie? Sweet Dreams Theatre allows you to see about 80 movies with quick time. Also check out The Rose Theater. I think you'll be amazed with that build. 0 Lyra Blackthorne
You will find there are many Brazilian's in SL try searching Brazil inworld and see what comes up. There are also forums in Portugese where you could post questions in your first language http://community.secondlife.com/t5/F%C3%B3rum-em-portugu%C3%AAs/bd-p/PortugueseForum When I came to SL I took many of the free classes listed in search/events/education. I learned about the world and also met lots of people. Another good way to get started meeting people is to check the upcoming events in search/events. Social functions set up for meeting others are much better than just trying to reach out to a random stranger
