Jan Curtau Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Every time I go into a location that has a lot of users in it, my display freezes up and have to shut down. My comp is for the most part new and using current updates.

0 Qie Niangao Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Yeah, I'd want to confirm that "display freezes up and have to shut down" really means what it says, that the entire machine stops responding and you need to reboot completely (as opposed to the viewer program freezing but the operating system remains responsive so you can close the viewer window and start over). If it's the former full-on system freeze up, my hunch would be a hardware problem, perhaps a memory fault. On Windows you may get clues by snooping around the Event Viewer (choose it from the list you get from <Windows key>-X or from right-clicking the Start menu).
