So I picked up a TMP body on sale for an alt. I tried to enable BoM after enabling the media thing. Lo and behold, my anti-virus blocked whatever it was and broke it. Now I can't tint the nail polish. :/

Option 1: Ditch Norton. Forever. Then proceed to use HUD as you want to. Most likely the IP in use was previously used by something Norton found "suspicious".

Option 2: Pick up any 3rd party nail polish for Legacy bodies, they support those since v1.6. Enable BoM via chat command and forget that media page on their HUD even exists.

I never need the HUD for anything but setting alphas.

They include a notecard with chat commands. You can use that to set BOM, turn nails on/off, etc. No media required.

You guys are life and sanity savers! I love this forum. Alaska Metro came to the rescue with the nails. \o/ Chat commands are so much easier. Thanks!

This is true, and it's helpful. Can't change the color of the nails with chat commands though, as far as I know. I occasionally use that to match the skin my avatar has on, would suck to suddenly lose that ability and have to purchase appliers.

Does the alpha in the HUD work without media? Just wondering.

Oh I'm a mesh nail wearer (even with my guys) so I have noooo idea about included nail functions. I believe you're correct, though - no colors via chat commands. Just the on/off.

The alpha portion of the HUD works perfectly fine without media enabled. It's only the tab with the skin tones and BOM on/off that uses media.

Thank you Eddy. I went Belleza Jake years back. Missed my TMP. Went back to it and the skin was alabaster white and the skin hud refused to tint it. Are you saying TMP original is still available does anyone know?

Back in the 90s, we used to call one of the utilities in the Norton suite 'Norton Disk F*cker' because it lived up to its name very well. Little has changed.

Little easter egg from the movie 'The Incredible Hulk' from 2008, with Ed Norton as Dr. Bruce Banner.

They have a rendition of it that they put out a few years ago that you can get for free. It's in their store.

You might have a hard time finding things made for it though.

Frustratingly, the one command I keep hoping they add is to reset the alpha, as every once in a while, removing an item of clothing causes the auto hide to fail to restore the hidden body parts. It seems such an obvious thing to include, but they never have. It is generally the only reason I ever need to go into the HUD. I finally made myself a full body alpha in the HUD and exported it. I put it into my favorite wearables  in FS and I attach and then detach it to fix the alpha. A command would just be easier.

Not TMP in it's original form there is a newer TMP/Lagacy/Meshbody Classic it's free/L$1 and not 100% compatible with original TMP items. If you only ever had the free version of TMP you won't be able access anything you had in the style hud on the newer body hud

The old old TMP original from the days of losing your unspent funds in their shopping HUD is long gone.  As Ceka & Claireschen said, it's been replaced by the 'Classic' dollarbie. Legacy used to mean the system body, but TMP usurped this term for their new bodies which causes much confusion for returning oldbies after many years away. For this, I will always call them TMP Lagacy.

Norton is useless bloatware and ironically probably places you at higher risk. It is notorious for false positives as well and I simply do not trust that terrible company with kernel mode drivers, they are not deserving of trust.

On Windows very few people need anything more than Windows Defender which is included with every version.
