DeeVious Dagger Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Hiya.. I have had this in my brain rattling around for a while.. I cant believe nobody does a weekend sale or event of older body size clothing. Think about it.. back in the day designers kicked butt with their designs.. it was a new era and man they styled to impress.. I myself switch from maitreya classic and x.. as many many others do. All that stunning inventory sitting in designers folders making no money on past creations.. yes SL moved on with different bodies BUT many out there still love their older bodies. Instead of letting all that gorgeous inventory just sit there.. why not make tons of lindens selling new old stock. Will it cut into newer sales? Or will it add revenue. Not sure if this is the right place for this.. but I think it would do very well..
Rowan Amore Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Rebel Hope, if you remember them, has all of their clothing marked down. This includes all system clothing and standard mesh sizing. The newer stuff is original Lara, Slink, the Belleza sizes. Prices from 25L to 50L with most fatpacks at 99L. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/en-US/stores/961 2
Ze Helix Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Its an interesting idea and I would check out the offerings, but I don't think it would be worth it for most creators. Since the majority of shoppers have moved on to the newer bodies its a niche crowd who will spend money on items that only fit older bodies. People with older bodies already have inventories full of years of shopping, and most of that stuff is still out there to buy. Shops that want to move old inventory but are not getting a lot of sales there usually do an outlet or just reduce older items. Shops that have taken down their old inventory from sale probably aren't going to be interested in selling it again if they aren't selling it already. The old body I'm most interested in finding clothes for is TMP classic male and female because I think its the best free mesh body right now. Marketplace search and browsing the flickr group is a good way to go about looking for that stuff. 1
DeeVious Dagger Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 I have over 250000 in my inventory so Im not really looking to buy much I already own 80 percent of the best of the best lol.. but people ask me all the time who made what im wearing. They can do a marketplace sale.. I mean its sitting there anyways.. I never owned freya but man people are still dedicated to it it was just a thought.. I get it though.. designers would rather sell one item at 300l then an old fatpack for 300. 1
