kaalahathoda Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Hello folks I am trying to understand with LL selling regions for $350 (without needing to pay any transfer fees), how is it financially better to buy from sellers (Price plus transfer fees) instead of just getting it from LL? What am I missing to understand? 1

What am I missing to understand? Yes, I am not sure I understand this either. The only scenario I can think of is if the region is established with lots of visitors and then new person likes what is there and wants to capture the traffic. Otherwise... I dont know why.
Diablo Lioncourt Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) A "used" 30k sim can be a better bargain than paying them to make a new region and upgrade it. Edited November 24 by Diablo Lioncourt 1 1
boundtight Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Buying from a person rather than LL becomes a lot more enticing if the region for sale has grandfathered pricing. That's the only way to get that lower monthly price. For regions that are not grandfathered I would say that it is either for the name, a location, or for the established traffic as was mentioned... or maybe just because they like the terraforming of the region and make an agreement with the seller to not flatten the place before sale. 1
Sid Nagy Posted November 24 Posted November 24 VAT or sales tax can be a thingy too, when buying directly from LL, no?

Got it thanks!
Julienne Bellisserian Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Because if you buy a “grandfathered” 30k prim sim, you get 10k more prim than a sim purchased from LL but for the same monthly maintenance fee of $209. The “grandfathering” keeps the monthly fee at $209. I have a grandfathered 30k sim sale, by the way.
Julienne Bellisserian Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Also FYI - a grandfathered 20k prim sim has a lower monthly maintenance fee of $179.
