The Silliest Reason You have Been Banned in SL

What is the silliest reason you got banned or ejected from a sim? I got a ban from Mouse World in 2007 for doing this wonderful travelogue on Second Life Universe.

I & a gf were banned from an adult meat market I guess you could call it.  For typing in local chat.  20-30 Avis standing around saying absolutely nothing & we coaxed a few other mannequins into totally pg conversation & we were booted & banned after a public admonishment from a hall monitor.  Weirdest experience ever.

Because a certain group of people (who are declared a criminal organization in many countries, including in the Netherlands, where I live) are represented by lawyers that will scour the internet like a pack of bloodhounds to protect their 'brand'.

Yeah, they have moved beyond physical enforcement apparently and have learned to use DMCA and other legal tools to strike back at "rivals".  This was discussed briefly in another thread a while ago.

Yes, the owner was an insane person who banned anyone who made fun of his build.

Banned from a Gor sim I was exploring because I was "too green"

Only ban inworld was when I TP'd to a parcel some person decided to try and sell in MY group. He was surprised to see me!     Not surprising I was banned from his land.

Your thread is not clear whether you are talking about actually being "banned from Second Life", or being "banned from a Region/Parcel".

In your original post, I assumed you were "banned" from Second Life because the Mouse company (I dare not say their name) disliked what you posted (DMCA/copyright infringement).

But now, it is clear you are referring to being banned from a Region / Parcel.

I know some others were referring to other types of bans (such as the "Hell's Angels" posts).

Maybe you could clarify a little? 

It could be I am just dense and/or dumb.

As I said in the start, I was banned from their sim. I was asking if you had ever been banned or kicked from a region for silly reasons.

I was banned from a store land many, many years ago for reviewing a skin on a private blog and saying it looked greasy and dirty. I didn't even link the post to the creator, but someone else did.

They had to unban me, because their items weren't being included in that blog's weekly round up of sales events though. Ha.

the silliest is be ban or eject from land for saying 'hi'

then same when buy land and go to see neighbour also ban

turning point for me in sl where i start seeing general people as unfriendly

When I returned to SL after a fairly long hiatus, I found out about the Physics c*** when a friend mentioned it in my IMs. I was so fascinated by it, and the fact that it could move around like RL. I was in a store that sold skins when I quickly unpackaged the demo and decided to test it really quickly. No one at all was around (I checked the "nearby" tab and the map) so I didn't think it'd be an issue to test it in the skin store. I didn't have a home. So I stood there fiddling with the HUD that came with the c***, trying out the different animations quickly before deciding if I wanted to buy it or not. I was doing the helicopter in that empty store, thinking no one was seeing it, when all of a sudden my avatar was booted off the parcel, face shoved into the ban lines and falling from the sky. As my body hit the ground and went back to doing the helicopter due to the c***'s animation HUD, I got an IM from the owner of the store calling me a pervert, and telling me not to do that at her store. The cherry on top? The store is in an adult region.

I'm still permanently banned from that popular skin store, years later.  oops

I genuinely did not mean to disturb anyone, and thought no one was around.

I got banned from a creators sim, because we didn't agree with each other in a thread in these forums, on a topic about energy..

Honestly , it really never got heated or anything.. We just disagreed and that was pretty much the end of it, I thought.. LOL

I found out when I went to update my product that I couldn't go to the only place  in all of SL to update it. Her sim.

Then was like, Oh well, I guess I'll just go buy from their competition then.. It wasn't like I was stuck in the desert and they had the only place to get water.. hehehe

For my first SL Halloween, I went trick-or-treating with friends, all dressed up, and we got banned from one club for 'begging' ❌👻

A friend and I were also ejected from a popular 'pub' for dancing on the tables  (not even tables near the stage or DJ, but at the back, where just a few of us were hanging around) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And also from a hardcore punk club because we went in ballgowns and tiaras and requested songs by Avril Lavigne (who was seen as being too 'pop') ...but I guess we were trolling a bit that time...

I can honestly say I've never been banned from a sim... yet.

But when I am, I'm sure it will be something stupid though, I'm good for doing stupid things just never when the people that matter are around.
