RachelGrace0925 Posted November 20 Posted November 20 So, I was participating in a race in Second Life this evening and after leading 130 laps of the race, on lap 148, my vehicle suddenly stopped. The sim was locked and all people with freeze/unfreeze powers were IN the race. I did not accidentally press my trackpad down and "select" or click the truck (trackpad is disabled) and a fan couldn't have stopped my moving vehicle because they do not have edit rights. There were no invisible prims on the race track and I was the only person to experience this issue. Also, there are no adjacent sims for someone banned to "grief" from if that is even possible across sim lines. I also did not click my mouse keys or anything, as stopping this particular moving vehicle requires the mouse to be centered on the vehicle...you can click the screen all day long and it doesn't stop. Is there something a fan could have used or a driver to "stop" me briefly? Also, my internet was connection and strong. Any answers would be helpful, not derision, as I am really curious.
Midnoot Posted November 20 Posted November 20 (edited) There's many vehicles that can be stopped simply by right clicking them. Anyone. If it's not that , someone with your edit rights can click it and stop it even if it's not accessible by others . Someone cheated you o:... Conflict from within your own race organization ! RachelGrace0925 Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 Well, we tested the right click theory and then tested edit rights. The only people that can right, or left click the car to stop it was someone with my edit rights. Others were not able too using right or left click.
Anastasia Loxingly Posted November 20 Posted November 20 You're going to need to give more information, What vehicle were you driving, what scripts does it have, etc.
JUSTUS Palianta Posted November 20 Posted November 20 (edited) SL Race Car Racing is Laggy all of them scripts racing around the track and all the different computer systems and viewer configs you can't tell what makes the lag, although it's absolutely possible someone used their sim powers it's also possible racing is just laggy. Check that no one is messing with the gate people jumping on it can damage it. I saw someone mess up a race real bad doing that once. Edited November 20 by JUSTUS Palianta
Nexii Malthus Posted November 21 Posted November 21 A high frequency timer checking OBJECT_SELECT_COUNT on vehicles in an active race might be able to catch anyone selecting in the act. It won't tell you who but at least that something was selected.
