SpiritSparrow Skydancer Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I've been in one place for quite some time, it was edge of a region. I was happy as a clam. Now I sign on and there is new construction going on and no beautiful views anymore (I had water, granted it was a phantom region). This really is a big fat bummer and I am picking up my yard tomorrow and letting my parcel go. I can't win. I never get a spot I like and there is always clutter surrounding it. " Kicks the ground and pouts like a entitled princess. 2 3 3
Persephone Emerald Posted November 17 Posted November 17 The Game of Homes wouldn't be fun if all the parcels were perfect for everyone. I fully expected the untraversable water next to my home to eventually filled with more houses. Instead I was lucky to get a developed coastline and rail line. Roll again and see if you can get something better. 🎲 🎲 9

I dropped premium earlier this year but I had a fairly easy time of finding plots that backed up to phantom ocean waters while being right on a creek or canal on another side, too. I hope you find a new dream spot soon. 5
Eowyn Southmoor Posted November 17 Posted November 17 If you are in any region in Bellisseria where the edge of the region is land that has a sharp cut-off edge, then it means at some point, another region is going in next to it. With Bellisseria, LL are ensuring that all finished landmasses have properly completed coastlines, which is a vast improvement on how previous LL home continents were left with an unfinished edge (also applies to Zindra too). As it stands right now, if you live on an edge region in the south of the Ranch theme, west/north/east of the Med theme, any edge of the Sakura theme, or northwest of the Newbrooke theme, then expect neighours (or at least coastline) at some point in the future. I sure hope that your post is meant to be more humorous teasing rather than actual complaining, because calling the Linden homes "awful" just because you weren't aware of how the land is being built is, in my opinion, both rude and ignorant, and frankly insulting to the work the Moles have done to make Belli a more complete continent. 8

Midnoot Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I agree . Pay for a premium service and then get told to gamble with the land .nope, no guarantees for a good spot . Just the chance, a gamble, and it's almost ALWAYS. Surrounded by neighbors on all sides , with their disgusting full bright plants and scenery privacy walls . I also had one of the spots in a corner that was not built yet and it was great while it lasted ... While I had a somewhat calming ocean view instead of Nancy , f, 63's full bright furniture from 2007 absolutely destroying immersion on any setting besides midday , and blinding you even on midday. Just another reason I think premium isn't worth it . So very little choice in a service I'm paying for . And yeah , you can keep gambling over and over , 5 times a day, until you find something , but the fact that I HAVE to put in that kind of effort and still struggle due to very little water side housing even existing and being highly sought after to the point it's extremely hard to ever get... Just saying ... Not feeling really incentivised. 2 2

Reminds me of a very...well, not-my-cup-of-tea Marketplace product I saw today, on the "What Customers are Buying Now" section. After being suddenly subjected to that picture, I 100% understand your customer's urge to cover the massive adult diaper display with a nice landscape ASAP. Glad you helped him out. (I don't judge people for what they're into, but I really wish I hadn't seen it, lol) Edited November 18 by Clem Marques 1 4

I love my Linden home, I really couldn't care less what's outside, the inside is a space I share with my partner, a place we can hang out together, that we decorate together, that we make ours. 3
Love Zhaoying Posted November 19 Posted November 19 That's the "nice" thing about Linden Homes - don't like the neighbors or the view changes? Just move (abandon / select a new home)! Unlike 'purchasing a parcel', you are not out any money. If only those "Game of Homes" people wouldn't snap up all the good homes. But, you could play the game with them, and someone will probably let you know when they are "releasing" a nice home. But I digress.. Good luck finding a new home with a view that you like! 3
Prokofy Neva Posted November 19 Posted November 19 This is what I call "waterbehind" instead of "waterfront". Happens a lot. But play Game of Homes and you will feel better and you might get lucky, 4

I am not in SL to um, be with my partner and my home is sparse but I do have a nice farm layout in keeping with the ranch theme so am outside the home more than inside.. honestly I do not even have a bed.. I’m glad you are happy.😃 2 1

I absolutely must have water around me to be happy at a location. 3

I was in my spot for a long time.. I would have not been as disappointed if I had some trees and a pond separating my place from the new parcel.. it’s only a barbed wire fence and I am going to guess the back of a house.. oh well I might release it totally and just grab more mainland.. have not decided. I was raising kitty cats for a bit then they were returned to my inventory and got sick.. apparently they are not allowed to have more than 2…

I changed Linden homes quicker than my underwear at times for my Belli Shop and I got really nice spots over the years with most themes, that I would never have given up when I did not hold the houses for business purposes. Just don't expect the first change to be another gem. It can take a while. But with a bit of luck you get one in the end.
