Chrissyxo92 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 i have this weird glow under my eyes ive tried changing my skin and it didnt seem to do anything anyone else have this problem? 1
Clem Marques Posted November 15 Posted November 15 That's just how it looks when light shines on your avatar's face. Happens to everyone, and results vary according to the face shape. To get rid of it, you can use a very subtle facelight (like the one included with the Lelutka heads - not ideal, but it's a solution) or change your EEP/Windlight settings (ideal) 1
SapphireDemonspider Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) DON'T EVER USE FACELIGHTS!!! (unless you need them for photography) What's on your picture is what happens when you use EEP settings like Midday where the sun is shining down on you at her highest point in the sky. Set the sun elevation of your EEP somewhere between 20.00 and 60.00 or use the 9AM or 3PM presets on Firestorm. If you want shadows to be gone completely use something like CalWL or Nam's Optimal Skin and Prim. Edited November 15 by SapphireDemonspider 2
Ze Helix Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) There are lots of free sky settings, especially since PBR came out and people needed new ones. If you're looking on marketplace look for PBR EEP. Most of the free ones I picked up were at inworld shops. Here is a random free one on marketplace that has flat lighting, which is what you want to remove the shadows. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Ivys-Free-EEP-Settings-Firestorm-PBR/26146012 Also, you can play around with different EEP settings, premade or just mess with the settings window yourself dragging things around. You can enjoy shadows in SL with sky settings that have a less harsh effect on the features. Edited November 15 by Ze Helix . 2
Bree Giffen Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Under the menu : develop, render metadata, lights, you can turn on boxes that show all light generating objects. This should reveal any facelights or other body parts that produce light and you might be able to turn them off. It could also be external lighting as others have written.
Blush Bravin Posted November 20 Posted November 20 There are a couple of heads, Lelutka, that because of the shape of the sculpt under the eyes at the top of the cheekbones, this glow is very prominent and nearly impossible to counteract without going to a very bright white light EEP. Since I refuse to use such EEP settings, I had to stop using one of those heads even though I loved the way the head looked otherwise, because it drove me nuts seeing that glow. 1
