I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, so perhaps it is a 'Me Only' problem: for about 3 weeks, I have been unable to access the Your Avatar sub-forum. Whenever I click on it (having tried 3 different browsers on 4 devices as well as 3 different avatar accounts), the browser spins its wheels, finally returning the attached message. I *am* able to access the most recently-updated thread in the sub-forum, but trying to navigate from there to other threads via the header results in... nothing. This does not happen with any other forum/subforum/thread. (Note: I'm in the UK, and have tried with and without using a VPN that shows me as being in the US in case that made a difference.) I've previously participated in the How does your Senra look? How does your avatar look now?  and Freebies for your avi threads with no issues.

It hasn't happened to me in awhile but clearing your browser often helps.  For whatever reason, it's always that particular section people have issues with.

Thanks, Rowan. I'll give it a try on my main browser. (Using a different browser on my husband's never-accessed-SL laptop had the same result, though.) Will report back!

I'll try tagging you and quoting you in the Senra thread to see if you can follow a notification there.

UPDATE: Thanks, Cinnamon - I *was* able to access the Senra thread, but still no others in that subforum when logged in (after clearing the cache in Chrome, my primary browser). If you could also tag me in the Freebies for your avi thread, I'd be most grateful! RL things are keeping me occupied at the moment so I won't be able to go full Sherlock Holmes until the weekend, but I *did* discover that I can access all of the threads when I'm *not* logged in! (I'll respond directly to Rowan's question about that above.)

Can you access it while logged out of.the forums?

Yes! So I *am* confused! It doesn't seem connected to: 1) which account (I've tried three), 2) which browser (have tried Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, Safari), 3) which device (two Win11 laptops, Win11 desktop, iPhone 14 Pro Max), 4) IP address (have tried with/without VPN). I've only cleared the cache for Chrome on my laptop so far, other efforts will have to wait until the weekend.

It's exactly the same thing that happens to me, no problem in any other forum, it's been a few months now, I gave up trying to enter and understand.

Can you access specific sections from a.link?

Yes, I can. I've already looked through the site and it seems to be the forum administrator's website. Anyway, since I'm not from the technology field, I didn't try very hard to find the solution, because I think it's beyond my understanding. And when I want to read one of the subforums, I go directly there.

Thanks, Nando - that actually makes me feel a bit better! (Note to self: Maybe it *is* worth asking a Linden directly... via a ticket or whatever mechanism is in place for doing that. You can tell that I haven't had any experience logging questions or complaints in the last umpteen years!)

Can't say I've ever noticed it myself but then most of the time I just click the Unread Content link at the top (and bottom) of the page and scroll until I find a thread/post that''s of interest.

Out of curiosity, to those having problems viewing certain sub-forums, do threads from those sub-forums still appear for you in the Unread Content or All Activity lists?

In my case, it's only the Your Avatar sub-forum that is a problem. This is what I see when I go to the Forums page while logged in. I can always access the thread which has most recently been updated, as shown on the right (hence the response I just made to that thread). I can also access any threads where I've been tagged, but can't navigate away from that particular thread to elsewhere within the sub-forum. Will investigate your other questions now...

OK, I'm embarrassed to say that I've never used the search function for a thread that I've already contributed to - if I search for the thread Freebies for your avi  by name, I can access it as normal. So, not the simplest way for me to participate, but at least it's possible (thank you!). But the Unread Content link didn't work for me.

Well it's good that you have some way to access it.  If it's only a few threads that you check in on regularly perhaps you could bookmark them temporarily until you find a better solution for your problem?
