Andrealovechild Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Can I change the No Pushing which is greyed out i am the owner of the land but i cant untick it any help please . it is adult land, by what i gather its locked by second life in the region menu
Qie Niangao Posted September 26 Posted September 26 This may be due to a Region setting. In the Region/Estate window (Alt-r), the Region tab, does it have the "Restrict Pushing" checkbox checked? I don't think that has anything to do with maturity rating, and it would be a weird setting on Mainland, so I'm guessing this is an Estate region. 1 1
Andrealovechild Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 (edited) yes the restrict button is ticked but in grey so i can not untick it . so i am assuming i cant uncheck it ? regards Edited September 26 by Andrealovechild
Qie Niangao Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Right, but if it's an Estate region, you'd need to convince the Estate Manager that it was a good idea to untick that. If it's a Mainland region, probably something is wrong with the region configuration. At least as far as I know, all Mainland allows pushing at the Region level, so landowners can set it as they wish on the per-Parcel level. 4
Andrealovechild Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 (edited) but i bought the land at auction so now i am confused lol regards maybe i should do a ticket Edited September 26 by Andrealovechild
Rolig Loon Posted September 26 Posted September 26 If you bought it at auction, then it's on the Mainland. Since you say it's "adult" land, that puts you in Zindra. So, the estate is owned by Linden Lab. As @Qie Niangao says, the region should therefore be push-enabled. If it isn't, submit a Support Case >>> https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
animats Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Yes. First look at World->Region Details->Estate while on your parcel. If it says "mainland" there, your parcel is on mainland. If it says "Estate: Linden Homes ...", you're in some Linden Home area, probably part of Bellessaria. If it says something like "Estate: Fruit Islands", you're on one of the big private landlord estates. There are many other estate names; and if "Linden" isn't mentioned on that tab, they are privately owned. Then look at World->Region Details->Region. See if "Restrict pushing" is checked for the region. If it is, the estate owner has turned pushing off. Linden Lab does do this for some regions, such as the big sandbox regions. "Balance", which is a vehicle sandbox, has pushing turned off. "Pushing" allows some weapons to knock avatars around. It's mostly for combat regions. 2
Diablo Lioncourt Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) You're on mainland. In the '"About Land" window there's an "options" tab to check or uncheck the "pushing" for the parcel. If the land is owned by a group you may need to have the correct group active to be able to tick/untick the box. Make sure the correct parcel is selected - clicking randomly with the "land settings" window open can change the parcel selected without any visual cue it changed. If you've tried all the above and still can't tick/untick it, submit a ticket. Edited September 28 by Diablo Lioncourt
