Profaitchikenz Haiku Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) I tried to buy L$ inworld with no success, and viewing my transaction history on the dashboard I noticed an entry suggesting that a paypal payment request of 0.00 US$ was declined. Now I know the grid status page said there was billing work today, but that now is being shown as completed a few hours ago, so is this something new Or have they cleared the grid status message prematurely? ETA I just tried an instant buy from the dashboard, and after agreeing to to the Tillia T&C (Again again again), I got a red box saying there had been a problem charging the transaction to my payment method. Got sent round in circles too, obliged to log in a 2nd time to some new web page, which logged me out the old page which I then had to log back into to complete the transaction. Got there eventually though but it was no pleasure trip. Think I had to accept terms and conditions all over again too. Maybe a clear browser cache and history and try afresh ? My worry is that with less than a day and a half left on the place I rent I'm not going to see a resolution before the expiry and will get booted from the parcel. Oh well, who needs mainland anyway?

steeljane42 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Try to remove and re-add your payment info, then buy L$ again. It happened to me a while ago and there was no obvious reason for it either, but simply re-adding the card (but should be same with paypal) fixed it right away. If it won't work, then waiting for the LL's support might be a good idea, unless you want to add another payment method. 1
Profaitchikenz Haiku Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 (edited) @steelJane42 Thanks, I think after seeing a blog post my landlord put me onto, your suggestion of removing and re-adding might be the solution. The post concludes with the sentences "Will my existing payment methods work?" " Yes! All currently added valid payment methods should work like normal." Except, it seems they don't. I messaged Paypal abut the repeated failures to buy, and they said it looked like my bank was declining the transaction, but as the LL page said a request for 0.00 USD had been declined, I think I can understand the bank's position, who wants to deal in such piffling amounts?
