Arwyn Quandry Posted September 24 Posted September 24 When I moved into my new slice of mainland, LL cut me a clean, square 1024 out of a larger area of abandoned land, which is nice. However, it left an itty bitty 16m microparcel right in front between my and my neighbors' land. We're both land-level residents who enjoy our ocean view. That tiny parcel makes me real nervous, because it's the perfect size for some jerk to come in and place an adboard or some other trolly, annoying content. However, if I bought it, I believe I'd be bumped up to the next tier level, and I really don't want to pay for that much more land when I'm happy with the spot I've got. What's my best move here? Leave it and pray no one awful takes it? Bite the bullet and buy the land? What would you do? 2

Yes! ^^ Deeding your 1024 to your Land Group will give you a 10% bonus so instead of a 1024 m2 for 1024 tier you can get a 1126m2 for 1024 tier. 1
Diablo Lioncourt Posted September 24 Posted September 24 What she said. Should be able to deed your 1024 to a group, adopt this thing, deed it as well, and merge for a seamless experience. You'll end up with more prims and more peace of mind. 2
Arwyn Quandry Posted September 24 Author Posted September 24 Oh! I have heard of that but never did it. Are there instructions for how to do that without accidentally losing my parcel to a random? 2

LL will not just sell a single 16m² parcel to anyone. In order to buy a 16m² parcel you would have to have land directly next to it. You could make the case that LL may also sell tiny parcels to someone with land in the same region for the sake of additional prims but not sure if 16m² would belong into that category. I'd see the risk of this 16m² getting picked up by someone else as relatively low. Of course the risk is not zero. Your neighbour could sell their land, someone else picks it up, buys the 16m² and drops the original 1024m² etc 2

Arwyn Quandry Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 I'm not leaving it to chance. I've converted my land to group land and I put in a ticket on the parcel to grab it up. The peace of mind is worth it. 7
