When you're ready to move on from your Linden Home:

  1. Choose World > About Land and click the General tab.
  2. Click Abandon Land. After confirming, the land is removed from your account.

Then register for a new home, the same way you registered for the first one.  You can do this no more than 5 times in a 24 hour period.

You can change your premium linden home at any time, up to five times in any 24-hour period until you find one you like.

To change home, first take up all your contents one by one into your Inventory then click World > Place Profile > About Land. On the About Land window, click Abandon Land. Then open your Dashboard and select a new Home the way you chose your first one.

If you like, you can use your 512 sm free tier to buy other land on the mainland using Land Search or simply turning on land for sale in the World Map and flying over the continets checking out the yellow squares indicating land for sale till you see one you like. You'll only pay tier to Linden Lab for land above 512. You can buy as much as you want to pay for and for for how much tier you're happy with. As mentioned, if you don't take a new Linden Home, the first 512 sm tier is free for Premium members.

The link directly above also includes details on renting private land and you don't need Premium for that but you would lose whatever extra support is available to Premium members.
