Zrina Nebula
Hey y'all 🙂 Your friendly neighbourhood Na'vi is here! I have a question. How can I make pre-PBR EEP / windlight look good on a PBR viewer? I didn't really found something helpful for someone who NEVER touched a windlight (yet). I was experimenting but made it worse instead of better. My main ick is the brightness, I want it to look more natural. ANY help is appreciated ❤️ Edited September 1 by Zrina Nebula I'm a typo-maniac

ANY help is appreciated ❤️ Generally speaking you should try setting the Ambient color to black or close to black, then the Blue Horizon to close to black/grey as well. The Blue Haze will be the color you want the sky to be such as blue or any other color you would like. Reflection probe ambience is the minimum ambient light for all outside probes in the scene with .01 being the lowest and 1 being full ambient light. Values greater then 1 are a multiply of ambient light. HDR scale is a map to the gamma value which is a difference between light and dark in the scene. The base values for reflection probe ambience and HDR scale are 1 for both so I recommend starting setting these to 1 as the base. And dont forget the new Midday(not legacy) under World>Environment is the new reference environment all content going forward should be made against so its useful to help with if you struggle if something is not looking right, you can swap to that for a sanity check. You can also preview what this reference environment uses by switching to it, then going to World>Environment>Personal Lighting. 1
Jackson Redstar
really depends what you want to do with the light - even before PBR there was an infinite possibilities for light settings and now even more. But from my experience with light that works on avatars too, the sun should be close to black but not all the way and use ambient to get correct light level. But honestly you ask 100 people you will get 1000 different answers
Charlotte Bartlett
There are some free ones on marketplace you could get one of those then edit to play. I also sell a few flatpack ones with some vivid colours etc. Personally I would get a freebie one then start to just experiment if you want to make your own settings!
