It's that orange button enthusiast who changed the orange buttons on the Marketplace -- they've gone berserk and descended onto the forum,  and now we have to see the orange buttons constantly.

Which "view" did you see this on? I did a few checks after reading your post but didn't see it yet.  (I'm on PC, using Dark Mode. I checked some posts via "Unread Feed", and a few individual posts that I know are popular.)  Possibly LL updated the Forum software and this was a new "default" setting.

I think the forum had become so restrictive that attendance was dropping to a point where they are trying to whip posters into a frenzy by claiming a thread with a post per day is now a Hot! topic. Seems to be working somewhat for now but it will die back down. If it wasn't for PBR and child avi's there'd be little to be talked about or even allowed.

I thought maybe the Mods label a thread as being Hot, manually. There was a gaming thread yesterday that wasn't labelled Hot when it had more posts then some of the others in a short time period.

I think they've always been there but I don't remember there being so many in the past. Maybe the sensitivity got changed somehow?

Yes, and just to be serious for a moment, it concerns me....makes me wonder what other algorithms changed, especially on the MP.

They were but only I think for threads that had x amount of posts per hour, not per week like now,

I rarely look at other Forums, but in the General Discussion Forum my impression is that it’s mostly the same 5 or 6 people generating 95%+ of the posts. I have not idea if the orange HOT! label makes much difference in the participation of the thread, though I see people in this one who I don’t usually see.

Then again, I skip most of the threads, so it could just be that the threads that interest me also are the ones that interest that same handful of people I see all the time lol.
