Radar / Mystitool replacement

1 - Is the owner of MT still active? I've tried contacting them a few times on diff accounts...no answer, so I"m assuming not, although they're still selling the MT, but confirmation would be nice

2 - Is there a good NON-freebie replacement for the MT? Something not too expensive, but not free either that does what the MT does? With all those options?

Mine is starting to really glitch (my alt's has finally given up the ghost and with no re-delivery options as these were pre-caspervend), there's no recourse to get a re-delivery. I'm hesitant to buy another MT (I've had this since 2006/7ish?) if it's not going to be supported ever.

Quite a few of the uses I had for mine have been added to Firestorm.  Just the ability to go to a certain height and rez a platform can be done with chat commands.  The FS radar also has many of the same functions.

I would look under gadgets on the MP and see what you might be able to come up with.. I remember it used to be so useful, but like @Rowan Amore mentioned.. Most of those things are in FS now and then some..

I miss those MystiTool days to be honest.. hehehe

Hi! Thanks! Yes I know FS has those...great tools...but I DJ and I like the fact that the MT announces to me when someone walks within 36m of me. Plus the RADAR feature in FS is so big and clunky, I like that the MT takes up a small corner and that the list is just hover text.

I doubt you will have any chance of getting a replacement to the new version from an older version as even at their store, their redelivery/update terminal doesn't seem to work for me either from a 1.3.1 version despite it supposed to be possible. Mystical hasn't been online since 2020 so doubtful to get a response, though you never know.

Depending on what you actually use the MystiTool for, there is a free limited features version at their store http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blumfield/17/147/297 .

The free version has the following features and doesn't include the implant:

 * Privacy
            Avatar Scanner
            Bug Scanner
            AV Chat Range Notify

    * Defense / Security
            Non-Physical Vehicle (aka "Sit Shield")
            Collision Notification

    * Convenience
            Flight Assist
            Sky Platform Rezzer
            Instant Platform Rezzer
            Posing Stand
            SL URL Maker

    * Utility
            Color Converter
            Land Calculator

    * Fun toys
            Emoter
            Animation Control

So if any of those features are what you use MystiTools for i would suggest getting the free version and seeing if that works better than the full version you have.

i think that seller is gone for several, if not a lót of years.
i still use mine, only a few functions however, the only warning i get is that updating is disabled

Not sure if the free version of MystiTools has that or not. The list I provided was taken directly from the feature list notecard included with the free version which is limited and doesn't contain all the features of the full version. I still use the old full version with no issues and have never used the free version. Just offered it as a suggestion to the OP as they were looking for a free replacement.

Some of the features listed are standard in "newer tools", built into some viewers now, etc.

Yes mine got glitched out a few weeks ago which "broke" the auto update "feature". Time to move on when this completely breaks I guess lol.
